Gathering to Worship
We gather weekly on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM to worship our God. A typical service includes singing together, prayer, and hearing from God’s Word. This weekly gathering is for the whole family.
A closed-circuit cry room is available for mothers needing to nurse or take young children out of the service. A sermon notes page with kid-friendly listening helps is available during the message.
If you’re new or visiting in the area, come on out and join us for worship! We sing a mix of old and new songs. The coffee is on before the service, so feel free to come a few minutes early to visit and hang out.
Don’t have a suit and tie? No worries. We usually only bring those out for funerals and weddings. Come in whatever you are comfortable wearing.
ALIVE
ALIVE is for kids ages 5 to Grade 6. ALIVE happens on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45, and every kid in Davidson and the surrounding area is welcome! This weekly hour is packed with singing, Bible stories, crafts, games, and activities.
ALIVE is currently paused for the summer months. Lord-willing, it will resume in September.
Parents wishing to leave their kids with us for this hour may do so, provided we have your registration and contact info in case we need to get ahold of you. At DCBC we take child safety very seriously. All of our child-serving volunteers are thoroughly screened and trained through MinistrySafe.
Adult Sunday School
Our adults meet for Sunday School at 9:45 AM on Sunday mornings in the large classroom just off the foyer. We usually read and discuss straight out of the Bible, and talk about what it means to live out God’s Word as followers of Jesus.
Sunday School is currently paused for the summer months. Lord-willing, it will resume in September.
Ladies’ Nights
Our women gather monthly for an evening of fellowship, goodies, prayer, and encouragement. It’s a warm chance to connect, share life, and grow together in Christ.
LEAD
Our men meet once or twice per month to learn and grow together. We want to become men of Christ-like character and develop our skills in servant-leadership for the benefit of our families and our church.
LEAD is currently paused for the summer months. Lord-willing, it will resume in September.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
Monthly Men’s Prayer Breakfasts take place on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM.
Once a Month
The Lord’s Table
On the first Sunday of the month we observe the Lord’s Table. If in your heart you are trusting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are welcome to eat and drink together with us, even if you’re just visiting or passing through. If you’ve not yet given your life to Jesus, you can simply signal with your hand, and whoever is serving the bread and the cup will pass on by.
Prayer
On the first Tuesday of each month we have a simple gathering for prayer at the church at 7:00 PM. It’s an opportunity both to seek prayer and to pray to God with each other for all kinds of things.
There will be no Tuesday evening prayer meetings during July and August.
